Veterans Review and Appeal Board
About
The Veterans Review and Appeal Board (VRAB) has full and exclusive jurisdiction to hear, determine and deal with applications for review and appeal under the Pension Act, Canadian Forces Members and Veterans Re-establishment and Compensation Act - Part 3 and the War Veterans Allowance Act . All matters related to appeals under this legislation are authorized under the Veterans Review and Appeal Board Act.
The Board also makes decisions regarding duty-related pension applications under the authority of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Pension Continuation Act and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Superannuation Act.
The mission of VRAB is to ensure fairness in Canada's programs for disability pensions and awards and War Veterans Allowances by providing fair and timely appeals for traditional Veterans, Canadian Forces members and Veterans, Royal Canadian Mounted Police applicants, qualified civilians, and their families.
