The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) is the independent provincial government agency responsible for regulating securities trading in BC through the administration of the Securities Act. The BCSC regulates to protect investors and market integrity, and can:

  • Impose requirements
  • Provide guidance
  • Monitor compliance and demands corrective action
  • Take enforcement action
  • Educate market participants and investors

Visit the BCSC’s InvestRight website to read investor alerts, learn about how BC investors can avoid investment scams, and find tools to help make investment decisions. The public can also visit the InvestRight site to report a suspected scam or file a complaint about an investment advisor or firm.
