The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) administers tax, benefits, and related programs, and ensures compliance on behalf of governments across Canada, thereby contributing to the ongoing economic and social well-being of Canadians. More specifically, the CRA administers tax laws for the Government of Canada and for most provinces and territories, as well as the delivery of various economic and social benefits through tax programs. The CRA also reviews disputes about assessments and determinations made under the income tax, excise tax, goods and services tax, harmonized sales tax, as well as Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance rulings and assessments.
