Financial Services Tribunal
About
The Financial Services Tribunal (FST) was established in 2004 under the Financial Institutions Act. It hears appeals from individuals and institutions who disagree with enforcement decisions made by any of the following:
- Insurance Council of British Columbia
- Real Estate Council of British Columbia
- Superintendent of Real Estate
- Superintendent of Pensions
- Registrar of Mortgage Brokers
- Superintendent of Financial Institutions
The FST provides an avenue of appeal for people who believe they have been wrongly limited in or denied the ability to work in one of the occupations regulated by those organizations.
