About
The College of Dental Technicians of BC (CDTBC) regulates the profession of dental technology in BC. It establishes, monitors, and enforces standards of practice to enhance the quality of practice, according to the Health Professions Act and regulations and bylaws of the CDTBC. The CDTBC’s responsibilities include:
- Setting entry qualifications
- Administering licensure examinations
- Registering qualified dental technicians
- Setting and monitoring practice standards, ethical standards and requirements for continuing education
- Investigating complaints
- Disciplining registrants
Concerns about dental technology services received or information about submitting a complaint to the CDTBC can be obtained by contacting the registrar or on the CDTBC website. Their inquiry process brochure is available in PDF format here. Complaints are received by the registrar and delivered to the inquiry committee.
